INVERCLYDE SCOTTISH TAEKWONDO
 
I.T.S ENGLISH OPEN
 
On the 28th of October the Scottish Tae Kwon-Do Academy traveled to Kidderminster to take part in the Independent Tae Kwon- Do Schools English Open, hosted by Mr John Swift.
 
Thirteen students traveled along with club Instructors Charles and Gillian Boyle to take part in the event and returned home with 11 trophies between them, including 6 English titles. All students done extremely well on the day although some were unlucky to come away empty handed.
Winning students were;
Ross Galloway,       2nd patterns, 2nd sparring in boys yellow belt division
Joshua Cummings,  1st patterns, 1st sparring in boys green belt division
James Lewis,          1st sparring, 3rd patterns in boys black belt division
Aimee Ellis,            2nd patterns in junior black belt division
Gemma Docherty,   1st patterns in girls red belt divisions
Rachel Miller,          1st patterns, 1st sparring in girls black belt divisions
Aileen Cheevers,     2nd sparring in adult orange belt divisions
 

Chief Instructor of the Academy Mr Charles Boyle 5th degree would also like to say well done to Jordan Learie, Craig McEwan, Nicky Jackson, Samantha Todd, James Duffy and assistant instructor Ross Derrick for training hard and competing well on the day. This tournament marked the end of the tournament season for the Scottish Tae Kwon-Do Academy this year, most student will now be concentrating on there studies for there promotional exams in December.
