I.T.S Comp 2011
On Sunday 3rd April 10 students from Scottish Tae Kwon-Do Academy, along with parents and club instructors travelled to Kidderminster to compete in the I.T.S.(Independent Taekwondo Schools) British Championships held by Mr. John Swift 5th Degree Blackbelt. The club was up against tough fighters from Scotland, England and Wales. with over 300 competing on the day it was great experience for the club. the club had a very successful weekend, with ten students competing and returning home with five British titles, three silver and four bronze medals the winning students were:
Scott Harper: 3rd place in points sparring.
Nico Marturano: 2nd place in patterns.
Ciaran Lynch: 1st place in patterns, 2nd place in points sparring and 3rd place in continuous sparring.
Ross Galloway: 1st place in points sparring, 2nd place in continuous sparring.
Amy Rodger: 1st in patterns.
John Walmsley: 3rd in points sparring.
Louis Rowe: 3rd place in points sparring.
Gemma Docherty: 1st place in points sparring, 1st in place in continuous sparring.
Club instructors Mr. and Mrs. Boyle would like to say well done too all students again gave 100% on the day and well done to John Reid and Logan Boyle for missing out in medals but still fought well.
