I.T.S. British Championships 2010


Twenty students, along with parents and club instructors traveled to Kidderminster last weekend to compete in the I.T.S British Championships. This was truly an international affair with Scotland, England, Ireland, Wales and also a large number of competitors from the U.S.A in attendance. with over 500 students competing on the day this was the largest tournament for most of our younger students.
The club had a very successful weekend returning home with 5 British titles, 9 silver and 3 bronze medals. The winning students were;

Lewis McLaughlin, 3rd continuous sparring
Amy Rodger, 1st point sparring, 2nd continuous sparring, 2nd patterns

Joshua Cummings, 1st point sparring, 2nd continuous sparring, 2nd patterns
James Lewis, 1st point sparring, 1st continuous sparring
John Walmsley, 3rd point sparring
Aileen Cheevers, 2nd point sparring
Ross Derrick, 2nd point sparring, 2nd continuous sparring

Mr & Mrs Boyle club instructors would like to say a big well done to all students who competed on the day win or loose everyone gave it 100%. Mr & Mrs Boyle would also like to thank Hardies Coaches for there continued support.
The club is now back in training for the next tournament in Hereford at the end of the month and also for there own national Scottish Open in June, if any local martial arts groups would like to compete the please get in touch on 07908715883 after 1pm.
