NITA ENGLISH OPEN 2010

Eleven students from the Scottish Taekwon-do Academy along with parents and club instructors travelled to Hereford last weekend to compete in the N.I.T.A. British open Championships, this was held by Master Clive Harrison 7th Degree Blackbelt. this was another great performance from the students ages from 6 years too 39 years of age, they fought the old rivals English and Wales again.the club was very successful again taken home 4 British titles 5 silver and 2 bronze medals. The winning students were:

Amy Rodger, 1st continuous sparring, 2nd patterns:
Louis Rowe, 1st points sparring:
Andrew Morton, 3rd continuous sparring, 2nd points sparring:
John Walmsley, 2nd points sparring:
Drew Morton, 2nd continuous sparring:
James Lewis and Ross Derrick two senior Blackbelts had to fight 2 too min rounds too both win 1st in points sparring.
And i would like to say well done to Scott Harper for missing out on medals for his first big comp away. Club instructors Mr. and Mrs. Boyle would like to 'say well done' to all students who competed on the day as everyone who gave 100 per cent again. Thanks to Hardies Coaches for their continued support. The club is back training hard for next big tournament witch is the Scottish Open at Home ground in Norte Dame High School 20th June.
