GTI Southern Taekwondo Open
Swindon February 2007
The Inverclyde branch of the Scottish Tae Kwon-Do Academy travelled to Swindon last weekend for the G.T.I. (Globel Tae kwon-do International) Southern Open hosted by Master Clive Harrison 7th degree blackbelt. This is the second competition of the year for the Inverclyde students. 10 students took part in the event and brought home 13 trophies between them, 8 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze. Competing in Patterns point sparring and continuous sparring.
The winners are;
Lisa Aitken, 1st patterns, 1st point sparring, 1st continuous sparring
Rachel Miller, 1st point sparring, 1st continuous sparring
James Moran, 1st point sparring, 1st continuous sparring
James Lewis, 1st point sparring, 3rd continuous sparring
Gemma Docherty, 2nd point sparring, 2nd continuous sparring
Conor Larkin, 2nd point sparring
Ross Galloway, 3rd Patterns
Mr Boyle chief instructor of the Scottish Tae Kwon-Do Academy would like to say well done to all winners on the day and also to Beth Larkin, Lauren Mulaghton and Louis Rowe for taking part on the day. All student are now back in training for the next competition on the 25th of March in the Greenock sports centre, hosted by the Scottish Tae Kwon-Do Academy.
