4th A.I.M.A.A. Scottish Tae Kwon Do Championships 2019

On the Sunday 28th April 2019, Inverclyde Cho’s Tae Kwon Do Scotland held its 4th Scottish A.I.M.A.A. Open Tae Kwon Do Championships hosted by Master & Mrs Boyle at Notre Dame High School Greenock.
Again we had great support from friends Master & Mrs Kalcutt & Master & Mrs Hall W.M.S.T. Mr Miah of West Yorkshire of AIMAA England.
And from our A.I.M.A.A. (Action International Martial Arts Association) Scotland family Mr & Mrs Belgacem & Miss Alix Reid Larkhall & Hamilton, Miss Kirsty, Celia and Cara Gough Blantyre.
From UTI Wales Mr Robert Bolt Mr Richard Mason.
also T.A.G.B. Scotland Clubs Mrs Kirsty McKendrick from Uddingstone, Mr Joe Hoey T.A.G.B. Jayson & Daryn Duncan Hamilton T.A.G.B. Mr Chris Markey Wishaw T.A.G.B. and Master Alan Cunningham Mrs Stocks Mrs Caldwell of G.T.F. Scotland.

This yearly event seen 160 competitors take to the floor from 3 country’s and  5 different Associations, in the disciplines of Patterns, Point Sparring and Continuous Sparring in over 78 division.

Our local students also managed to hold on to a massive 6 Scottish titles on the day, with another 9 silvers and 9 bronze, collecting a total of 24 medals on the day.

Patterns winners were: 
2nd Place Winners: Owen Harvey
3rd Place Winners: Abigail Pollock.

Points Sparring Winners were:
1st Place: Arlene McIlwee, Noah Laverty and Eirenn Larkin.
2nd Place: Holly Larkin, Liam Laughlan, Adam Engleby, Abigail Pollock and Rebecca Foley.
3rd Place: Carolyn Pollock,Jason Harvey, Stephanie Turner, Gillian Collins and Jason Cox.

Continuous Sparring Winners were:
1st Place: Noah Laverty, Liam Laughlan and Adam Engleby.
2nd Place: Rebecca Foley, Stephanie Turner and Gillian Collins.
3rd Place: Declan McGhee, Arlene McIlwee and Jason Cox.


A special thanks goes to Mrs Rowe, Miss Engleby, Mrs Laughlan, Miss Fyfe, Mr McCallum, Miss McCallum, Mrs Pollock, Miss Pollock and Mr Cox for helping set up and help things run smoothly on the day, Also thanks to all Black belt students for helping out on the day.

And all our Instructors whom help out during the day refereeing etc the competition couldn’t run smoothly without your help folks.
